about

We're building Hydrant for the way we already work with our agents.

What we're building

A context system for agent-native software work.

Hydrant lives where the work happens — inside the conversation you're already having with your agent. It turns ideas, decisions, and specs into structured execution context that humans and coding agents read the same way. Same actions over MCP, CLI, and the web. Same audit trail underneath.

Why now

The shape of work has changed faster than the tools.

Agents already write, refactor, and ship code. The trackers we hand them were built for humans clicking buttons, not for systems that need a single source of project truth. We're building Hydrant because we needed it ourselves — and because the next few years of software work are going to demand it.

What's next

Closed beta, then wider access.

Hydrant is in invite-only closed beta while we sharpen the core loop. Join the wait list and we'll reach out as capacity opens. Follow along on GitHub for the spec, the changelog, and the open work.

Built by

I'm building Hydrant because I wanted a project system that worked the way my agents and I already do. More builders will join — when they do, they'll show up here.
