# Settings map

Every Hydrant settings page, grouped Personal, Workspace, Work and Agents - what each one is for, who can open it, and where the destructive buttons live.

Settings is where the knobs live. There are eleven pages in four groups, and you only see the ones your role can open. This is the map. The detail lives in each area's own article.

## Before you start

- **Workspace settings** is at the bottom of the workspace sidebar. Admins and the Owner land on **General**; Members land on **Members**.
- **Preferences** is also in the account menu (your name, bottom of the sidebar). **Account** sits beside it under **Personal**.
- `⌘K` or `Ctrl+K` finds any page you can open: type "billing", "agents" or "labels" and press Enter. More in [Find your way](/help/using/find-your-way#keyboard-shortcuts).
- Each workspace page shows your role in its heading: **Owner access**, **Admin access** or **Member access**.

### Personal

Yours alone. They follow you across every workspace.

### Workspace

The workspace itself: its face, its people, its limits.

| Page | What it's for | Who sees it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **General** | **Identity**: name, description, icon and built-in appearance. **Identity history** records who changed what. The Danger zone holds **Export workspace** and, for the Owner, **Delete workspace**. | Admin, Owner |
| **Members** | **People**, **Departed members' work**, **Invitations**, then **Ownership** and **Leave workspace** in the Danger zone. | Everyone. Members see people and their own Leave. |
| **Plan** | The workspace's receipt: humans, agent connections, images and, for the Owner, owned workspaces, each against its limit. | Everyone. Read-only for Admins and Members. |

#### Workspace identity

Under **General › Identity**, set a **Workspace name** (1 to 100 characters), an optional **Description** (up to 280), a **Workspace icon** image (PNG, JPEG or WebP) and a **Built-in appearance**: the icon and color shown when there's no image. Press **Save workspace**. Everyone in the workspace sees the result.

The workspace's address is built from its name plus a short code, like `/acme-studio-k3m4x2qwer`. Only the short code finds the workspace, so renaming changes the readable part without breaking old links.

### Work

How work moves, gets named and gets scheduled.

| **Cycles** | **Schedule**, **Adjust dates together**, calendar history, and **Pause cycles** or **Disable cycles** in the Danger zone. | Admin, Owner |

### Agents

What reaches into the workspace, and what it's told.

| Page | What it's for | Who sees it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Agents** | **Named agents** (identities you assign work to), **Access** (OAuth connections and agent keys), and the steps to connect another agent. With nothing connected yet, the connect steps come first. | Everyone. Members see and revoke only their own access. |
| **Playbook** | **Agent permissions**, **Agent prompts** and **Workspace defaults**. | Admin, Owner. Agent permissions and workspace defaults belong to the Owner. |

### The Danger zone

Anything destructive sits in one **Danger zone** at the bottom of its page, after the everyday settings. Four pages have one:

- **Account**: **Delete account**.
- **General**: **Export workspace** and **Delete workspace**.
- **Members**: **Ownership** and **Leave workspace**.
- **Cycles**: **Pause cycles** and **Disable cycles**.

Export isn't destructive. It lives there because it goes with the exits: take your data, then decide whether to leave.

## What you should see

A sidebar with **Personal**, then **Workspace**, **Work** and **Agents**, showing only the pages your role can open. A group with nothing you can open disappears entirely.

## If it goes sideways

- **"This section is unavailable with your current access. Your drafts are kept."** That page needs an Admin or the Owner. Ask one, or check your role in [Who can do what](/help/workspace/members#who-can-do-what).
- **Labels & views is missing.** You're a Member and member access is off. An Admin or the Owner can switch it on under **Labels & views › Member access**.
- **General is missing.** Members can't open it. The workspace name and icon are an Admin's job.
- **An old bookmark to a settings page still works.** That's on purpose. Older addresses redirect to the page's current home.
- **A preference didn't follow you to another browser.** Appearance, sidebar counts and the snooze timezone are saved per browser. Set them again there.
